Walt Judas
Partner | Strategy, Alliances & Advocacy
Walt Judas brings more than 35 years of leadership in British Columbia’s tourism economy, with roles at BC Pavco, Port Metro Vancouver, Tourism Vancouver and the Tourism Industry Association of BC (TIABC). As CEO of TIABC until his retirement in April 2026, he led the organization’s advocacy and policy files and set its strategic direction. Before that, he spent more than 15 years as Vice President of Marketing Communications, Membership and Sport at Tourism Vancouver, where he led its 2010 Winter Olympic Games strategy. Nationally, he served on the board of the Tourism Industry Association of Canada and chaired the Provincial & Territorial Tourism Industry Association.
A lifelong boater and seasoned advocate, Walt was a key member of the national coalition that secured the repeal of Canada’s luxury tax on boats. That combination of high-stakes advocacy, association governance and cross-sector diplomacy is critical as marine electrification scales across marinas, resorts, tour operators and rental fleets. At MEVC, Walt leads executive engagement with hospitality and commercial buyers and helps partners secure the approvals and funding needed to deploy electric fleets and charging infrastructure.
Walt concurrently serves as Executive Director of the Electric Boating Industry Council (EBIC).
